Purpose

The purpose of the Zion Endowment Fund is to provide financial support for special, non-budgeted needs or opportunities in each of Zion’s core ministry areas:  

V  Church Ministries – for Zion ministries and special outreach projects

V  Christian Education – for needs of Zion Lutheran School and other parish educational ministries

V  Music Ministries – for promotion of outreach through parish and community musical opportunities 

What is the Endowment Fund?

The Zion Endowment Fund (ZEF) is a pool of assets gifted to the fund and managed to produce income.  The Endowment principle is intended to continue in perpetuity, with a portion of the earnings allocated to special ministries and the remainder reinvested. 

The ZEF is administered by the Lutheran Foundation of Texas (LOFT), an Austin-based supportive ministry of the Texas District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

ZEF Committee

The Zion Endowment Fund is overseen by the ZEF Committee.  Current members are:

The Committee is dedicated to the Zion Endowment Fund becoming a major supportive force for Zion Lutheran Church, touching and changing lives through Jesus Christ.
