Lutheran Hymn Festival of North Texas

"Praise with us the God of Grace" is the theme for 2004 Lutheran Hymn Festival of North Texas. The Hymn Festival will be held on September 19, 2004 beginning at 7:30 PM at the Meyerson Symphony Center. The featured organist will be Dr. David Cherwien. In addition there will be a mass Choir representing voices from the Metroplex Lutheran Churches plus the Children's Chorus of greater Dallas. The Chorale from Texas A & M—Commerce, under the direction of Dr. Chris White joins with Zion’s Children and Adult Choirs to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of Zion congregation in Dallas.

Orpheus Chamber Singers

Director Donald Krehbiel has created a joyous program of music from his ancestral homeland, Germany.  This concert is sure to inspire a generous holiday spirit with music by Schutz, Praetorius, Walther, Brahms, Bach, and Biebl.  An audience sing-along will feature German carols including “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and “Silent Night.”  A small orchestra will join the choir for this concert.  Learn more about the Orpheus Chamber Singers at their website at www.orpheuschambersingers.org
