Hymn Festival

The Children’s and Adult Choirs of Zion are joined by brass, woodwind, and string instruments to lead congregational singing of hymns both new and old from the new Lutheran Service Book.

Orchestra of New Spain

bandFeliz Noël. The Orchestra celebrates Christmas with the French-American Chamber of Commerce in a program of French and Spanish works for chorus and orchestra. Works include Charpentier Messe de Minuit, Courcelle Responsoria “Omnes de Saba vénient,” and Soler villancico de Navidad.  To learn more about the Orchestra of New Spain visit their website at www.orchestraofnewspain.org.

A Service of Lessons and Carols

The Children’s and Adult Choirs of Zion celebrate the coming of the Christ-child at Christmas.  Congregational singing of familiar Advent and Christmas Carols play a special role in the evening’s presentation.

Evening Prayer:  Children's Choir Festival
Cynthia Nott, Artistic Director of The Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas directs the combined children’s choirs of Zion Lutheran School—Dallas, Redeemer Lutheran School—Austin, and St. Paul Lutheran School—Austin in an evening of sacred music.

Orpheus Chamber Singers

pictureArtistic Director, Donald Krehbiel explores the musical riches from Germany in a program entitled German Monuments and Miniatures.  J. S. Bach will be represented with his monumental, 11-movement motet ‘Jesu meine Freude’.   Part-songs and motets by Brahms, Rheinberger and Schuetz will round out this tribute to the German spirit.

Brookhaven Handbell Ensemble

With ringers from around the Metroplex, the Brookhaven Handbell Ensemble performs locally, regionally and even internationally for festivals, conferences and concerts.  Under the direction of Bonnie Riddle, the Ensemble will perform a variety of works including Eternal Father, Strong to Save, the spiritual Deep River, the march The Rough Riders, and Rock Around the Clock.

Pentecost Concert

The Children’s and Adult Choirs of Zion lead this musical celebration of the festival of Pentecost.  Organ, harpsichord, handbells, strings, winds, and voices combine to present an evening of sacred music to the Dallas community.
